Like its brassy older brother, the sexily serpentine Model No. 022A is a double-jointed riff on that 20th century workaday staple—the humble desktop task lamp. At 16" tall, it's slightly more petite than the Abalone Lawyer's Lamp, but makes up for its stature with astounding flexibility and rugged good looks. It consists of a terra cotta-tinted cast-hydrocal plaster base and hand-wrapped paper-cord column topped by a cantilevered shade crafted from a sustainably sourced, barnacle-flecked Abalone seashell with a silver-hued, mother-of-pearl interior. Fully adjustable swivels at the top and bottom of the column allow for fine-tuning of the shade angle and overall silhouette. Polished chrome hardware, a khaki cloth-covered cord, 1940s-style plug, and contrasting inline switch complete the elegant profile of this hard-working, all-natural beauty.
