To spin such fine yarn you need high quality long staple cotton. We used extra fine yarn, often used on dress shirts, and wove a "featherweight" cloth. The Portofino is ultralightandbreathable. It was inspired from the beautiful fine poplin shirts often making their rounds with gentlemen of the Italian Riviera. This season we have added a subtle print that gives the shirt even more character.
