The Lupus Foundation of America, Heartland Region is thrilled to host a special retreat for girls ages 12-19 who are living with lupus. As many in our community know, purple is the signature color of lupus, proudly worn by our warriors. This retreat provides 20 girls with a fully funded weekend (excluding travel) where they are mentored by inspiring women who also have lupus. Throughout the weekend, they will participate in engaging activities, build lasting friendships, and learn about wellness, nutrition, and lupus; all in a safe and supportive environment. This year's theme is Empowerment. Our goal is for these young women to leave feeling confident in advocating for themselves, sharing their stories, and knowing they are not alone in their journey.
