Collet-set jewelry, the setting of choice in the 18th century, was primarily used for faceted stones. As she is known to do, Emily wanted to rethink the past by designing an open-back collet setting that could support beautiful cabochon tourmalines. The color references for this collection come from an herb garden, and here, the pink tourmalines recall the hue of pepper berries.
