Sleek, chic and utilitarian, the USM Haller Console Side Table is a storage solution and show piece in one. Crafted with precision in Switzerland from bright green powder-coated steel panels, this console opens in the front to reveal a roomy space for storing various items, such as mail, keys, coins and accessories in your entryway. The cabinet door is lockable with any coin from your pocket, no key necessary. The top of the console and its lower shelf can be used for displaying books, plants and objets. It was designed by Paul Schaerer and Fritz Haller in 1964 for their modular furniture system, USM Haller, which has become an enduringly modern storage solution for homes and offices around the world. (USM Haller modular furniture and shelving is used throughout MoMA's office spaces and is represented in the Museum's collection.) The USM Haller Console Side Table measures 32h x 30l x 11"d.
