This artwork is inspired by the tradition of Mandalas, which were born out of Buddhism. In various spiritual traditions, mandalas may have been used for focusing attention, as an aid to meditation and establishing a sacred space to envision and manifest the higher self. A mandala is a symbol of the universe in its ideal form, and its creation signifies the transformation of a universe of suffering to one of joy. We are at a point in humanity that senses a shift of consciousness and true purpose and calling. The blue morpho butterfly symbolises "healing" change and rebirth. They have been long associated with a deep and powerful representation of the soul and spiritual transformation. And the lotus flower has a deep philosophical meaning. Lotus flowers symbolise clarity of thought and purpose. They also represent transformation and rebirth. On the path of enlightenment the lotus reminds us we can emerge to blossom, regardless of where we started. The lotus flower also symbolises expansion, or awakening of consciousness, sprouting from muddy waters, it emerges, cleansed by the water and blossoms into an exquisite flower.
