WHY WE LOVE THE Mens 1970 Jumper While messing around on my photocopier I spied the date 1970 printed in the corner of the catalogue I was leafing through. This date looked good. I kept blowing it up, then cut it out and pinned the strip of white paper onto my black jumper. It had a charm, like a cool record cover. I had read somewhere in a Coco Chanel biography, that she advised women to invest in a string of pearls because it reflected a luminescent glow onto the face. What I was looking at made me think of the early New York punk scene, and Patti Smith. This white stripe with the black writing is like a Punk string of pearls. Merino wool crew neck jumper with '1970' intarsia. Ribbed neck, hem and cuffs. Model is size Medium wearing a size Medium, height 6"1.5. OUR MERINO WOOL Coming from the Merino breed of sheep, merino wool benefits from being extremely soft and feels beautiful against the skin. Merino wool has natural elasticity and is naturally breathable and odour resistant: its fibres wick moisture away from the body and help to regulate temperature so that the wearer feels comfortable in cool or warm weather. Bella Freud only uses Merino wool from ethically-farmed, non-mulesed sheep and the fibres are environmentally friendly whilst being incredibly durable, retaining their shape for years to come.
