This season we are offering The Anvil Shirt Jacket in Birds Eye Sashiko. The word Sashiko means "little stabs". It is a reference to the needle movements in the stitching technique used to mend and reinforce clothing in Japan since the 1600s. The "Birds Eye" weave is a version of Sashiko that gets its name from the dotted pattern created by the contrast of white stitching over the traditional rope-dyed indigo fabric. The indigo will eventually fade with wear like a selvedge denim jacket . This 10oz Sashiko fabric is perfectly suited for a lightweight spring/summer jacket and showcases a uniquely patterned surface while maintaining a soft feel. The Anvil in Sashiko is available in two colors: Dark Indigo and Light Indigo. 100% Cotton
