After more than a century of refinement, research and redevelopment, British Millerain's TekWax® cotton comes to ThruDark. The reason waxed cotton works so well as a water resistant barrier is that its hollow fibres are able to be filled up with, and hold onto, wax, rendering the fibres watertight. However, what sets British Millerain's TekWax® cotton apart is its ultra-dry finish. This gives your ThruDark garment all the functional performance of a classic waxed piece without the dampened feel of traditional waxed cotton. The HeriTech Hinterland Pro Gilet itself features a low profile, 4-way stretch fabric tapered collar for comfort and a centre front YKK Vislon 2-way zip with Hypalon zip pull. Cordura X Dyneema reinforced shoulder panels and back yoke provide maximum durability at typical areas of high wear and tear. Storage capacity is provided by two chest pockets and lower pleated bellow pockets engineered to stay open as required with an internal snap fastening for easy access. A large "poacher" style pocket on the rear of the gilet bolsters capacity for storing hats, gloves and more. The Pro Gilet can be cinched tight with wait snap adjusters and is cut with a longer length in the body than the regular Gilet. Inside, the Pro Gilet is lined with quilted, recycled 60gsm Primaloft® Rise for enhanced insulation.
