The chain part of a necklace can be made out of virtually anything: metal (including gold and silver), strings, thread, etc. The chain can come in a variety of different finishes and usually features links that are split in half. A locket is an ornament containing small personal items—such as hair or pieces of clothing—which are given to loved ones in memory.
