They are knit in the round, beginning with the cuff, in two colors of Rowan Norwegian Wool. Once the mittens are finished, the cute rabbits & thumbs are embroidered using duplicate stitch. Arne & Carlos refer to the mittens looking like they have been "painted with yarn." The Rowan Norwegian Wool yarn in the kit was designed by Arne & Carlos in collaboration with Rowan. Spun in Italy from 100% Norwegian wool, this yarn was carefully designed for authentic, Norwegian stranded colorwork. The kit includes the following: 5 balls of Rowan Norwegian Wool: 1 ball each of Cloud Dancer & Frost Grey (mittens) 1 ball each of Gold Nugget, Peat & Cappuccino (Rabbit & thumb duplicate stitch accent colors) A printed copy of the Rabbit Mittens pattern by Arne & Carlos (pattern includes instructions for size small & large mittens) Note: You will have significant amounts of the accent colors left to be able to make another project such as a beanie, colorwork headband, holiday ornaments or a coffee cozy.
