This slogan was born in 2021 as a fun take-down on diet culture and was inspired by a September New York Times Article titled New York's Brief Hot Restaurant Summer: Bread Binges and Dance Parties. In the article Caroline Schiff, the pastry chef at Gage and Tollner in Brooklyn talks about how guests were ordering an unprecedented amount of bread when they fully reopened in the summer of 2021.
