A geometric emerald cut Lukusuzi aquamarine (2.66cts) is expertly showcased as the centrepiece of this chic design. Securely double claw set into lustrous platinum the central aquamarine is brought to life by a delicate surround of small sparkling brilliants (0.15ct). Angular openwork cross over shoulders perfectly complete the design ensuring that all eyes are drawn towards the central gemstone. This striking design has been inspired by our extensive selection of antique and period jewellery. In particular the strong forms and geometric lines of the famed Art Deco period (1911-1940) can be clearly seen. The aquamarine set into this ring originated from the Lukusuzi mine in Zambia, the primary source for aquamarines at Pragnell. The artisanal mine is owned and run by the local community. Pragnell are proud to showcase this breath-taking non-heated Lukusuzi aquamarine, which has been hand selected by the family for its superlative colour, clarity and size. As a sixth-generation family run business the Pragnell family are delighted to support the cooperative run mine, which focuses on the welfare of the miners and the local community. All Pragnell creations are unique expressions of our rich history of being part of the most special moments in our clients' lives. Handcrafted in our workshops in the heart of England they offer the superb quality of the Pragnell Seal, and showcase exceptional artistry, craftmanship and gemstones.
