Initiated by Marie-Claude Lalique to celebrate the birth of her perfume, Limited, Numbered, and Signed Editions of Collector's Flacons have become an annual event since 1994. Initially dedicated to feminine perfumes, these prestigious editions were subsequently joined by their male counterparts, the Lalique Pour Homme flacons, in 1997. Renowned the world over for the unmatched skills of its craftsmen, Lalique dedicates its magnificent 2022 Limited Edition to the art of glassmaking. The "Fougères" flacon evokes the impressive moment when the glassmaker takes up a glowing drop of molten crystal from the crucible with a slender cane: the birth of the spectacular piece. In another nod to the delicate process of crystal-making, the flacon is decorated with ferns (fougères in French). The plant, which grows in the forests surrounding the Cristallerie Lalique in Wingen-sur-Moder (Alsace), is also a major element of glassmaking. When the "Fougères" flacon's stopper is lifted, a glowing blend unfurls its scent. Radiant rose, heady jasmine, and powdery iris, the three most precious essences of the perfumer's palette, form a lush, ultra-feminine bouquet. As the floral accord blooms like a drop of crystal blown into a delicate shape, crisp blackcurrant leaf, crystal-clear pear, and sweet blackberry add their joyful motifs. In the dry-down of the scent, creamy smooth sandalwood and vanish glow like satin-polished crystal with a warm, sensuous light.
