Isambard Kingdom Brunel (1806 –1859) was an English mechanical and civil engineer who is considered one of the most prolific figures in 19th-century England. Brunel changed the English landscape with his groundbreaking designs and ingenious constructions. In tribute to his work, the Westminster Brunel timepiece is a combination of ingenious construction bearing industrial style and design.
