The perfect wrist accessory for watch collectors, font enthusiasts or anyone who appreciates great contemporary design. Handmade in Scotland, this Modul Quartz Watch was made in collaboration between Glasgow-based clock company Paulin and OH no, a San Jose-based type foundry. (Paulin is founded by three sisters, Elizabeth, Charlotte and Eleanor Paulin.) The partnership was born out of their mutual love of typography. The dial takes inspiration from the laid-back California aesthetic, with a color palette that references local icons artist Sister Corita Kent and graphic designer Saul Bass. With an exaggerated emphasis on the 12, 3, 6 and 9, OH no's free-form bespoke numerals evoke a more playful sensibility compared to the uniform geometry of the original Modul model. This timepiece is powered by Swiss-made ETA 955.112 with an intricate design visible through an exhibition caseback. The case diameter makes it work for almost every wrist size so it is truly comfortable to wear. A fine example of form meets function. The Paulin OH no Modul Quartz Watch has a 35mm case and a fabric or stainless steel mesh band (each style sold separately) that measures 7.64l x 0.79"w excluding case and buckle.
