A modern kitchen classic from Alessi, this salt shaker was designed in 1988 by Michael Graves. For this everyday dining design, Graves employed his Postmodernist visual language: the design combines influences from European and American Pop art, and pre-Columbian cultures. Made in Italy, the Michael Graves Salt Shaker has a cylindrical, perforated stainless steel container that's coated in a gleaming-mirror polished finish, while the lid is made out of colored polyamide thermoplastic resin. The Alessi Michael Graves Salt Shaker measures 4.5h x 2.5"diam. Both Michael Graves and the manufacturer Alessi are represented in MoMA's collection.
