Located in Dryden, Michigan, Mitchell Wool Co. is sourcing, spinning & dyeing each skein of yarn locally. The sheep are raised on the family farm, the yarn is spun at a local mill & the yarn is then dyed back at the farm. Each skein of yarn is lovingly produced by the Mitchell family. Plump, light & velvety soft, American Fiber DK is spun with 100% Rambouillet wool. The 18-micron yarn has the bounce & spring characteristic of Rambouillet with incredible bloom. The round, woolen-spun strand delivers crisp stitch definition for cables & textured stitches that give knits gorgeous dimension. The yarn is dyed entirely with natural plant fibers to produce a soft, natural color palette. It is wonderful for lightweight, yet warm knit accessories & garments.
