This skateboard triptych features a reproduction of Cindy Sherman's Untitled #92 (1981), an artwork in MoMA's collection. Sherman is an American artist known for her self-portraits that explore themes of identity, gender and the construction of the female image in popular culture. Untitled #92 portrays a distressed schoolgirl crouched on a tiled floor with wet hair and an anxious expression. For this work, Sherman transformed herself into a picture of youthful determination in the face of imminent danger. The Cindy Sherman Untitled #92 Skateboard Triptych is produced by The Skateroom, a platform for promoting, selling and producing art on skateboards that supports youth-empowering organizations. The triptych is made from seven-ply Canadian maple wood. Each board measures 32h x 8.25w x 0.5" per deck.
