Hailing from eclectic Manhattan, Ulla Johnson — the daughter of archaeologists — travelled the world throughout her childhood, absorbing the colors, flavors and textures of ancient cultures surrounding her. Her eponymous brand effortlessly channels this unique upbringing by balancing modern silhouettes with vivacious patterns and hues, inspired this season by the Abstract Expressionist works of artist Lee Krasner. Inspired by abstract art of the mid 20th century, the surface of this cropped top is made up of scalloped panels sewn vertically in a wave-like structure. The straight cut, sleeveless design has a drawstring hem to create a cinched in waist. The matching skirt continues the theme in pristine white.
