The Egyptian Relief Ceramic Milk Jug sourced by A Vida Portuguesa, a small Lisbon-based shop focused on goods made in Portugal, is a re-edition of a design produced by Secla in the mid-20th century. Established in 1947 in Caldas da Rainha, a city with a long tradition of ceramics, Secla was known for modern production innovations. Secla's founder, Joaquim Pinto Ribeiro, was known for challenging artists and architects to explore ideas for unique pieces and small collections. Secla's factory closed in 2008 but A Vida Portuguesa continues to offer this jug, which is decorated with a tactile pattern that references Egyptian motifs. Handmade in Portugal, the Egyptian Relief Ceramic Milk Jug measures 3.7h x 3.9w x 3.5"d. and holds 8oz. Microwave- and dishwasher-safe.
