The heirloom epitomises the 2001 season, the triumphant season when, thanks to an outstanding vehicle, Michael Schumacher and Ferrari won both the Drivers' and the Constructors' titles. This prestigious item belongs to a series of mechanical engine parts from Ferrari single-seaters that have gone down in history for their exceptional performance. Displayed on a carbon fibre base handmade in Italy, with a red insert and enamelled Shield, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal, the piston is freestanding and simply slots into the base, so that it can be easily removed and examined in detail.
