We really love that when Monsieur Chouinard started the company (just an hour drive up the coast from our Topanga design studio), he did so with what we see as a very practical, can-do perspective: he wanted to make clever products to fill a need in his community. And we're no business experts or environmental hawks, but it seems to us that Patagonia is still doing a kick ass job this many years later. We collect early pieces as often as we can.
