Inspired by the way stepped surfaces dramatically play with light and shade, and reminiscent of the spiral staircase in De Beers new flagship store in Old Bond Street, London, these large hoop earrings fan out, echoing the dynamic movement of the spiral form. The outer dark blue aluminium steps have a subtle sanded finish that gives them a tactile matte quality, while the contrasting light blue titanium is pavé-set with graduating round brilliant white diamonds in a sparkling swirl. The focal point is a 1.01 carat pear-shaped white diamond, surrounded by prong-set white marquise-shaped diamonds and green roughs, set on an 18k white gold clasp.
