For a lot of people, Diptyque makes the quintessential "status candle" — their entire product line is storied, French, and beautifully packaged. Of course, it all smells pretty fantastic, too. L'Ombre Dans L'Eau is the scent of freshly picked blackcurrants, with notes of green leaves and rose. (It's also the perfume equivalent of Baies, the line's most popular candle.) The solid perfume is a fragrant balm housed in a cool enamel compact, which travels really nicely. Great to dab at pulse points throughout the day.
