The Porto Marie is made of handwoven bao straw. It's partially immersed to give it a two-toned color. The band is a distressed cotton strip of fabric, wrapped twice and tied in a simple bow, and there is an optional band of thin wooden beads sewn on. We like it that way, but you can certainly select the hat without. HAT SIZE CHART Side note: This hat runs slightly big.
