Copper Nickel is highly resistant to corrosion and is used in the marine industry mainly to secure stainless fittings to aluminium masts. Monel is a type of Copper Nickel trade marked by Special Metals Corporation. Always use a dab of Duralac when securing stainless steel to aluminium.
