Recommend a pH of finished product to be pH 3-8. While Aloe seems like a simple ingredient, it is quite complex due to being packed with electrolytes, trace minerals, antioxidants, and polysaccharides. It is also not as innocuous as people seem to treat it, so please note it's a fabulous environment for microbial growth — using a full spectrum preservative system is a must to avoid contamination. Due to the electrolytes, aloe vera can impact the stability of emulsions. As a result, be sure to not overuse or use with too many other electrolyte packed ingredients.
