A very special Tibetan ring with a gloriously glowing bright jungle green Colombian emerald. This 22kt Gold Colombian Emerald Tibetan Ring and the 22kt Gold Colombian Emerald Large Greek Ring are made from a single alluvial crystal panned from the rivers of the mountainous region of Muzo in Colombia. Muzo is reputed to have the finest emeralds of anywhere in the world. These emeralds were geologically formed millions of years ago when volcanic forces combined the elements of Beryllium and chromium with vanadium from ancient sea beds. The two rings are made from a single crystal caught in a river curve and held for thousands of years in the current, softly bumbling into a large pebble as the river flowed down from the mountain mines. A Barequeros, a river panner, shovels through the gravel of the river bed and looks for the flash of green that can change the life of a miner, they found this stone and had it cut in half to make a rare large pair. We decided to make the two rings from the two stones, as they are more easily appreciated when worn on the hand. The stones are completely captivating, with a deep, glowing inner light. They are ancient symbols of life and our vital connection to the natural world.
