Benjamin Giguere melds cremated remains into a work of wearable, memorial glass art—a moving reminder that, "from the stars we came, and to the stars we return." You send a teaspoon of your loved one's ashes to Benjamin's studio. A glassblower heats glass to a molten state, removes it to add a thin layer of the ash swirls, returns it to the flame, and sculpts it. The finished pendant is set on a rhodium-plated backing engraved with a heart, and hangs from an 18" sterling silver cable chain. Handmade in Rhode Island.
